I just stumbled across this and although it was written by somebody with Lupus, it's still something that's helpful for any average person trying to understand what it's like to live with a chronic disease.

What a great article! I was born with Spina Bifida -- not a disease but a common birth defect -- and I've been in that exact situation with several friends in my life. I got the 'how does it feel' question a lot more when I was young, and I remember my reponse to them was always, "I don't know. How does it feel to be healthy?"
